Saturday May 20, 2017 the 1st Annual Shawn Howard Memorial Co Ed Softball Tournament was held at Kiwanis Park. 7 Teams entered and had a hot day full of softball action. $1100 was raised through entry fees, donations, and concession to be donated to Shop with a Cop in memory of Shawn as it was a program that he worked diligently for throughout the year and was very passionate about.

They have a goal of 100 kids this year and we were honored to do this as Shawn was a great assest to our Park. Several people donated their time on Saturday to umpire and keep book those folks were Tim Gross, Jim Bowling, Calvin Welch, David Hobbs, Jason Jett, Mac Campbell, Robbie Turner, and Jeremy Lindon. Special Thanks to all the teams that entered and played, Mayor Rose Wolfe, Tim Gross, and Kevin Chapman for all their efforts on Saturday. Cleats and Cleavage won 1st place and RoundUp came in 2nd.
