Post 13 Troopers provide Honor Guard during Game

JACKSON – September 5, 2019 – Brendon D. Miller

Hazard 5th and 6th Grade Bulldogs traveled to Jackson on Thursday Night to take on the NorthFork Lumberjacks. The game was controlled by the Lumberjacks, but the night was far more significant for young Bennett Holliday and the Troopers at Post 13 in Hazard. Bennett is the son of Kentucky State Trooper Loren “Doc” Holliday who passed untimely on Tuesday in a car accident.

Troopers from Post 13 provided an honor guard for Bennett as he was a captain for the flip and for the entire game. God Bless Bennett as he was here to play tonight, and please pray for him and the Holliday family in the coming days.

I write this as not only the owner of BSN, but also the Breathitt County Attorney, and I see the work that our KSP Troopers, Sheriff’s Department, Jackson Police Department do, and I am so appreciative!! I worked with Doc many times and he was a caring and special person. Doc will be greatly missed by me, my office, and all!
