Bellamy, Sperry and Hamilton each score in double figures as Breathitt puts up 90 points

JACKSON – December 5, 2023 – Brendon D. Miller

Breathitt County looked impressive in their home opener at the Fairce O. Woods Coliseum on Tuesday Night. The new-look Bobcats under first-year Head Coach Jeff Honeycutt used their up-tempo offensive and aggressive defense to open an early first quater lead and top the talented Bobcats from Lee County 90-60.

Breathitt’s perimeter play was outstanding as the trio of Austin Sperry, Isaac Bellamy and Jaxon Hamilton each had a big night on both offense and defense. Bellamy led the way with 21 points, Sperry added 20, and Jaxon Hamilton had 18, and each had multiple deflections and caused Lee problems in the press.

Braxton Terry battled inside the paint and had eleven rebounds on the night with eight of those on the offensive glass giving Breathitt several second chance opportunities.

Lee was led by James Moore with 25 and Braydon Peters with 16.
