44-year-old NASCAR Cup Champion Kevin Harvick kept Denny Hamlin in check for his first ever win at Pocono Raceway.
LONG POND, PA. – June 27, 2020 – ANTHONY HOLBROOK
The NASCAR Cup Series traveled to Pocono’s 2.5 mile Raceway, Saturday, June 27, 2020 for the Pocono Organics 325 in Partnership with Rodale Institute. Today’s NASCAR Cup race was the first of a NASCARCup Doubleheader at the famed facility and will conclude after the running of the Toyota 350.
Additionally marks the first time in 85 races dating back to 1974 that spectators/fans was not allowed in the grandstand for a NASCARCup race weekend at the historical Track due to Pennsylvania Governor’s Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

Happy Harvick opting for a two-tire pit stop service with 36 circuits remain, allowed his Stuart-Hass Racing No. 4. win the pit service battle. Kevin Harvick reassumed the point and guarded a charging Denny Hamlin for position during the final green-flag/checkers run to win at Pocono’s Tricky Triangle.
Kevin Harvick collected his 52 career NASCAR Cup trophy and 3rd 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season winning the Saturday’s Pocono Organics 325 in Partnership with Rodale Institute –.761 seconds ahead of Denny Hamlin.
Aric Almirola, who won the second stage, finished third. It was his third top-10 in 16 races at Pocono and third straight top-5 finish this season.
