Will spend more time with family.

STANTON – January 31, 2020 – BSN

On Tuesday afternoon, Joshua Kincaid announced his resignation as Powell County Head Football Coach on his Facebook page. Kincaid’s reasoning was simple, he wanted to spend more time with his family which he called “my greatest blessings.”

This excerpt from his post states the main reason for his resignation, “One thing I have learned is how quickly they grow up. This lesson is the largest part of my resigning. I have always tried my best to juggle being a father and coach. As my own children are growing and are starting to become involved in various activities, I can see this juggling act getting out of balance.”

In the post, Kincaid stated that he would always be there for his former players if they ever needed someone to talk to in the future. Kincaid closed the post by stating, “Thank you to everyone for the support and I encourage you to support all your Pirate athletes and coaches.”

As one would assume, this post instantly gained traction. Currently, Kincaid’s post has received 11 shares, 41 comments, and nearly 200 likes. The comment section is filled with positive messages about the decision and his reasoning.

Many thanks to Coach Kincaid from BSN as he has always been very cordial and a great ambassador for the Pirate program and Powell County High School. We wish Coach Kincaid the best in all his future endeavors.
