Lady Owls Leave No Doubt – Claim All A Title

Smith and Lynch each score 24 to pace Lady Owls

The Lady Owls were on a mission to get back to the State All A Tournament as in 2022, after losing in the finals last year to Leslie County. Misson accomplished, as they were able to basically put this one away in the first half, doubling up the Lady Bulldogs 43-20 by halftime. Owsley closed the door in the third with a 29-18 quarter to run the clock for the remainder of the game.

Laya Lynch was on fire in the first quater hitting two three-pointers and totaled 12 of her 24 to earn Player of the Game. Lynch ended up knocking down four threes for the game. Carly Smith had three threes as part of her co-game-high 24, and Addison Terry also had three threes as part of her 13. Shelby Murray and Kezie Grubb also each had a three as the Lady Owls totaled 12 makes beyond the arc.

Laura Everidge as the only Bulldog to reach double figures in the game with 18.

The Lady Owls will head to the All A on Wednesday January 24th, and lead off the tournament at 8:30 am and take on Cumberland County at the Corbin Arena.
