MSU on ESPN
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Per an official release from the Ohio Valley Conference, the Morehead State men’s basketball team has landed two appearances across ESPN platforms for the 2016-17 conference season. The Eagles will have two more ESPN telecasts if they advance to the championship game of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.
Overall, the schedule includes seven total men’s basketball OVC games (four regular season contests and three OVC Tournament games) and one women’s game that will appear on one of the networks during the season. Each of the regular season games and the OVC Tournament semifinals will air live on ESPNU.
Morehead State’s ESPNU broadcasts will take place when they host Belmont on Thursday, Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. ET and when then travel to Tennessee State on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 9 p.m. ET.
The OVC Tournament will continue at Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn. The men’s semifinals, on March 3 at either 7:30 or 10:00 p.m. ET, will be televised live by ESPNU. The men’s championship, which takes place the following day at 8 p.m., will be carried live by ESPN2.
The package is part of a multi-year agreement with ESPN that was announced in October 2013.
The 24-hour college sports television network airs more than 600 live events annually. ESPNU is available nationwide in approximately 73 million households and has long-term carriage agreements with all 10 of the top multichannel TV providers – Cablevision, Charter, Comcast, Cox, DirecTV (Channel 208), DISH Network (Channel 141), Mediacom, Time Warner Cable, Verizon FiOS TV and AT&T U-verse.
