New Head Coach for Owsley County Boys Basketball

Exciting news out of Booneville Kentucky today as Tyson Gross has been named the new Head Coach of the Owsley County High School Owls.

Bluegrass Sports Nation was able to sit down a few minutes with Coach Gross and ask a few Questions.

Who is Tyson Gross?

“First thing is I am a man of God and a Family man.” Gross said. “Besides that I am an active member of my community and a ball coach.”

What is the First thing you want to do as Head Coach in Owsley County?

“I want to reestablish the winning mentality to the program and change the culture. I also want to focus on our feeder programs to build a better foundation for our programs.”

What made you want to take the job as Head Coach?

“I was part of the last 2 Boys District Championship teams as well as the last All A Boys Basketball Championship for the Owls. I remember how much it meant to the community and would like to return us to that level.”

Coach Gross is a current resident of Owsley County where he also grew up. He lives there with his wife of 14 years Megan Gross and his 4 kids.
