Breathitt Middle Tops Fleming-Neon on 8th Grade Day

Breathitt Middle honored their 8th Graders on Saturday before they hosted Fleming-Neon. Fleming-Neon took and early lead in the game leading both at the end of the first quarter, 16-13, and 25-23 at the half, but Breathitt controlled the second half and pulled away in the 4th for the 63-44 win.

Kory Combs led the attack for the Bobcats with 21 in the game. Combs scored in each quarter with six, six, four and five by quarter. Brayden Johnson had a big 3rd quarter with seven and finished with 11. Jason Tolson hit a 1st quarter 3-pointer and had two 4th quarter baskets for 7. Alex Strong came off the bench for 5, with the other Bobcats to score: LJ Noble 3, Leland Hurt 3, Austin Barker 3, Sawyer Hall 2, Brantlee Campbell 2, Jadon Hamilton 2, Vincent Bowling 2, Corey Flinchum 2.
