Breathitt won their third in a row on Thursday night in the Colisuem, by staving off the scrappy Buckhorn Lady Wildcats. Breathitt jumped out to a large First Quarter lead holding the Lady Wildcats scoreless during the period for a 13-0 lead. From there, Buckhorn out-scored Breathitt 45-36 the rest of the game and Breathitt failed to put the game away at the free throw line.

1st QUARTER The LadyCats did all the scoring in the First, with five players putting up points. Adreonna Schutz had two baskets for four, Kaylea Ritchie had a 3-pointer, and Riley Bush, Kaylee Clemons, and Jerrica Neace each had a bucket. End of the first, Breathitt 13-0.
2ND QUARTER Buckhorn got the offense going in the Second with Cassidy Adams hitting two 3-pointers for six, and McKenzie Neace also knocked down a 3-pointer. Neace added three for the LadyCats. At the half, Breathitt led 20-11.
3RD QUARTER Buckhorn continued to cut the LadyCat lead in the Third with Kaitlyn Bowling scoring four and Adams adding three. Haddix had four for Breathitt with Schutz, Bush and Watts each scoring three. Headed to the Fourth, Breathitt let 33-25.
4TH QUARTER Buckhorn put up twenty points in the Fourth with Adams adding eight to her co-game-high 17, and Bowling six. Breathitt held on despite missing 13 free throws in the period. Schutz scored three field goals to keep the LadyCats in the lead.
