First Round of the KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament on Monday Night

It will be Trick or Treat on Monday Night in Campton, but the real treat on most of the attention in WC will be in Rose Gymnasium where the Lady Wolves will host the Lady Colonels of Whitley County in the First Round of the 2022 KHSAA State Volleyball Tournament. Wolfe County (22-11) collected their second 14th Region Title in three years on Wednesday Night by defeating Knott Central 3-1. Wolfe add the big trophy again to their now five consecutive 14th Region All-A Tourney titles from 2018 to 2022.
Whitley County comes North as the 50th and 13th Region Champions defeating rival Cobin in both finals 3-1 each time. As always when Wolfe advances, it will face a much larger school in Whitley. Whitley is a 5A (football) school with a total enrollment of 984, with 48% or 470 being females. Wolfe County’s total enrollment is 361 with 51% or 184 being females.

BREATHITT COUNTY – Wolfe defeated four times (3-0 on 8-30-22, 3-1 on 9-6-22, 3-0 on 10-1-22, and 3-0 on 10-19-22) Whitley defeated 2-0 on 9-24-22 in tourney. WILLIAMSBURG – Wolfe defeated 2-0 on 9-17-22 in the All-A State Tournament. Whitley defeated twice (3-0 on 9-8-22, and 3-0 on 9-22-22).
